Batteries - can't work without 'em but dang, they're expensive. When you pay for a drill, they must charge you for the batteries and throw in the drill for free but they work just like new - er, I guess they are.
What can I say about new batteries. They hold a charge and the two pack was the way to go.
Competitors will ask you what happens when battery is discontinued. My husband made the mistake of buying the 18v drill and saw combo with Black NI-Mh Battery if you do not keep them charged or use the tool monthly they will cease to function, not a peep, dead as the dodo, I know as that happened to my husband, good luck contacting Makita if over a year they will not help but will sell you some more, Red ones are not much better. I know as my husband has made the mistake of purchasing both, will sell for parts now, Buy a Ridgid Lifetime warranty on Tools and Battery. My Husband called, they will replace the tool with latest comparable model. Nice to see a company that stands behind their product
My old batteries were dieing fast and now my Makita tools have more power than when new.
Received the batteries very fast and both have worked great with no problems. Was a very good price for the twin pack would recommend this dealer to others.
